Pietro Capuano, Mr. Chantecler, inspired by this story, had forged by master weaver, one of the most famous bronze founders of the time, the first bell of fortune offered as a gift, in 1944, to the then President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who made it ring to celebrate the end of World War II. The bell thus became a symbol of peace and fortune and an indispensable jewel in the collections of all the international divas and princesses who chose this island as their ideal refuge.
